Q1 2024: (updated Aug 2024) Total retail sales in the U.S. grew by
1.5% vs Q1 2023, while eCommerce sales increased by 8.6%. The eCommerce landscape continued to grow rapidly, closing Q1 slightly under 16% share in gross U.S. retail sales. While digital commerce once again outpaced brick & mortar, the current economic climate is encouraging customers to be more careful and spend more time comparing products, extending the click to conversion timeframe. Consequently, lifecycle marking initiatives saw increased investment as brands work to shrink the consideration gap.
